Goodman After-School Enrichment Program

Description
The purpose of the program is to provide activities students don't have access to in the community. The main goal is to provide activities that cross over from elementary through high school by providing music, art, math, science, social studies, cooking, field experiences, and self-help skills. The program has engaged students in these activities and has proven to gear students to achieve to the best of their ability. Parents are actively involved in the goals of the program.

How will I use the money:
Funds will be used for the advertisement of buy cds and vds to make copies for students involved with the project.Students wanting information on USB will also be purchased to teach the use from Flip/Cam to computer to USB/CD/DVD.

Who will benefit:
All 950 students will benefit because the documentary will be shown to all grade levels. A demonstration will be one for each grade level and parents. They will be able to observe the size of the Flip/Cam and uses in a PTA program in October/November.

How will you use the FlipCam to document your idea?
Students will learn about the FlipCam and how it is operated. Students will brainstorm ideas and decide on a topic. The Flip/Cam will be used to document scenes from around the school.

When will my project take place:
The project will start the second week of September.

Why I want to do this:
It is important to promote digital learning because this is another avenue of media the children need to access. They have use of computers at school, but do not have computers at home. The same is true with being able to digital document information, especially information/pictures they select.
